"Frances The Mute" will be the album of the year; I welcome any challengers. What's written about them in their biography is exactly what I think about them; they are the classic rock we will be listening to in years to come...and in my measily opinion, they are the modern-day Led Zeppelin. Not from the standpoint of their music sounding like Led Zeppelin, or Cedric sounding like Robert Plant...but from their sheer improv authority during live performances and the single fact that there is nothing like The Mars Volta, on the scene today. Much like Led Zeppelin was, back in their day. This album is amazing.

Yes, oh yes.
I picked up the disk yesterday and am currently listening here at my empty office.
So very very good.
In a related note At the Drive-In has just released a CD of hits and b-sides and covers. There is also a dvd of videos in the package.
